glenchilada a year agoHow about the other side of the coin? How many small businesses get free publicity, networking, and a great platform for communicating with their customers through facebook? I bet this far outweighs any productivity loss. It’s been great for many small businesspeople I know.

deleond2 a year agoThough a little bit of goofing off does help (Yeah BUZZFEED during the lunch hour!) I can see FACEBOOK causing all sorts of issues at work. In the clinic I work in I would be checking FB frequently during the day (when I should have been doing work) and I could see many of the workers in other parts of the building (my FACEBOOK friends) were doing the same. I’m getting much more work done now that I have disabled my FB account.

I actually read a study that said workers that are allowed to “goof off” a little during the day were actually more productive because they were allowed to just relax for a moment and when they got back to work they were more focused. I can’t use facabook at work but I can use Buzzfeed hahaha
