Police and fire services are socialized too. Let’s see Ron Paul tell everyone that they have to pay for the “privilege” of police protection and fire services and see how that goes over. Didn’t pay and your house goes up in flames? Oh well, let the motherf**ker burn!  Someone breaking into your car, and you didn’t subscribe to 911? You’ll have to try to stop ‘em yourself I guess… better hope you don’t get shot!

This is another example of misconstruing the message that is being stated on Buzzfeed. Ron Paul responds to the question by stating the obvious, if you have the capacity and opt out then you are at fault. Social programs are for those who need it, not for those whom are cheap or lazy. Think of how selfish it is of that hypothetical man to be capable of providing for himself and yet becoming dependent upon society (costing everyone else money because he was selfish and short-sighted). Also, I’m not a Tea Party Member. Fanning the flames of an argument rather than breaking it down doesn’t encourage a meaningful discourse.

Be thankful we don’t follow your lead and kill people for bad judgement, for you would be the first to go.

It’s what Jesus would do, being pro-life and all.

We should make these Tea Party fucks live by their word. Anyone registering as a Tea Party person should immediately be banned from all government assistance. No social security, no medicare, no fire department, no police, nothing.  You want to be free from all government interference? Have at it. In fact, let’s make a TV show out of it. I’d love to see how that turns out.

I think we finally have a corollary to the old democrat + mugging = republican line. Tea partier + bankrupting catastrophic illness = democrat. You don’t cheer so loudly for the deaths of your sick neighbors once it’s you or yours that’s deathly ill and can’t pay anymore.

I’d like to see each person who speaks in favor of insuring every American become a physician and work saving lives every day for free because it’s the right thing to do.
