• Pass The New York DREAM Act

The New York Dream Act would allow undocumented students who meet in-state tuition requirements to access state financial aid for higher education. An estimated 146,000 youth in New York who have been educated in New York public schools are currently ineligible to receive financial aid under federal and state law. Of the more than 4,500 undocumented students who graduate from New York high schools every year, only 5-10% pursue a college degree due to tremendous financial obstacles. Read More ›

  • Out Of The Shadows And Into The Streets

On March 14 2012, Tania Chairez and Jessica Hyejin Lee, openly undocumented and unafraid mujeres, blocked traffic in an act of civil disobedience in front of ICE headquarters in Philadelphia. They risked deportation to free Miguel Garcia, another undocumented youth who has been in ICE detention for more than 8 months, separated from his wife and U.S. citizen sons. Read More ›

  • Deport 'Em All - The Dred Scott Republicans Who Want to Repeal BirthRight Citizenship

The GOP has taken the country back. All the way to 1868! Who kidnapped the GOP leadership and replaced them with pod people? Once champions of comprehensive immigration reform, these white male Republicans want to revisit the 14th Amendment in order to repeal birthright citizenship! This is just a starter list of the wingnuts that have taken back their country. Take action here: http://j.mp/GOPnuts

    • 1. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC)

You can be a "champion" for immigration reform and still loathe "anchor babies." "They come here to drop a child. It's called 'drop and leave.' To have a child in America, they cross the border, they go to the emergency room, have a child, and that child's automatically an American citizen. That shouldn't be the case. That attracts people here for all the wrong reasons."

  • Sharron Angle Releases New Racist Campaign Ad

“Waves of brown people are streaming across our border, joining violent gangs, forcing families to live in fear. And what's Harry Reid doing about it? Voting to give them Social Security benefits, tax breaks, and college tuition. Voting against declaring English our national language — twice. And even siding with Obama and the President of Mexico to block Arizona's unconstitutional new immigration law. Harry Reid, it's clear whose side he's on — he is with the Latinos and not with you white people.”

  • Most Racist Political Campaign Ads 2010

Politics Buzz You'd think it's 2010 and we should not be seeing or hearing these things but we are and it is disturbing to say the least. Is it a wonder that all the ads below come from GOP candidates? In no particular order:

    • "You are One of Us"

Once considered a maverick, John McCain is now a shadowy and shriveling figure who completely abandoned all his principles for re-election. As the ad says, he is "one of us" as opposed to "one of them" people who want to hurt Americans by doing their jobs at next to no pay and intentionally causing accidents on the road. Right.

  • 10 Reasons to Pass the DREAM Act Now

Some whacky, some funny, some serious reasons to pass the Development, Relief and Education of Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act) to provide a pathway to citizenship for undocumented students in the United States. There is currently no other way for them to legalize their status.

    • We are willing to risk deportation for our DREAMs

Four undocumented students created history when they risked deportation to get Senator McCain to cosponsor the DREAM Act so that they can legalize their status by going to college or joining the military. That has to count for something. No? What will you risk to attend college and serve in the military of the United States? http://thedreamiscoming.com
