  • Pass The New York DREAM Act

    The New York Dream Act would allow undocumented students who meet in-state tuition requirements to access state financial aid for higher education. An estimated 146,000 youth in New York who have been educated in New York public schools are currently ineligible to receive financial aid under federal and state law. Of the more than 4,500 undocumented students who graduate from New York high schools every year, only 5-10% pursue a college degree due to tremendous financial obstacles.

  • Out Of The Shadows And Into The Streets

    On March 14 2012, Tania Chairez and Jessica Hyejin Lee, openly undocumented and unafraid mujeres, blocked traffic in an act of civil disobedience in front of ICE headquarters in Philadelphia. They risked deportation to free Miguel Garcia, another undocumented youth who has been in ICE detention for more than 8 months, separated from his wife and U.S. citizen sons.

      You can be a "champion" for immigration reform and still loathe "anchor babies." "They come here to drop a child. It's called 'drop and leave.' To have a child in America, they cross the border, they go to the emergency room, have a child, and that child's automatically an American citizen. That shouldn't be the case. That attracts people here for all the wrong reasons."

      Once considered a maverick, John McCain is now a shadowy and shriveling figure who completely abandoned all his principles for re-election. As the ad says, he is "one of us" as opposed to "one of them" people who want to hurt Americans by doing their jobs at next to no pay and intentionally causing accidents on the road. Right.
