I would pick Leslie Knope TBQH.
I think the scene with her and Ray in EP5 of this season will go on the list of “MARNIE CAN U NOT” stuff she seems to always be doing. MARNIE CAN U NOT
I feel like Lindsay Lohan has already taken a hit on this article (Sorry Lilo) but I Know Who Killed Me is a must see. Lohan as a stripper who loses a leg and may or may not be the long lost twin of her sister who goes missing. It is one of the strangest and so bad it’s hilarious movies I’ve ever seen.
Oops, my bad. Rookie error!
I LOVE THIS SONG.
This is great, the Faith dream about Dawn really showed how well planned the show was in a way people rarely acknowledge.
I’m still baffled that the runaway success of Bridesmaids at the box office didn’t lead to a slew of similar films. It still feels like Hollywood is taking it’s time to wake up to the fact films don’t have to be A PILE OF MEN AND ONE FEMALE STAR to attract audiences. (obviously Gravity, Hunger Games etc are showing there’s a change but it still feels gradual/newsworthy whenever it happens)
loved In A World, definitely deserves a bigger audience.
Yes to all of this! Such a good reminder of how amazing this show is even with recurring characters. John Ralphio and his sister’s habit of singing certain phrases is too funny. WHAT A SHOW.
So many great suggestions to go through, amazing. I’ve been on a book reading binge of late. I’ve been on a book binge of late, I’m constantly picking up titles (I love going to charity shops and finding great stuff you’d never think of quite cheap/helping a charity out at the same time) so recently I’ve read Pretty Little Dirty by Amanda Boyden (enjoyable “coming-of-age” pageturner that’s equal parts trashy good girls gone bad antics and well thought out plotting and tragic twists), Bonkers by Jennifer Saunders (which is funny and warm and uses a loose storytelling that lifts it above the usual “funny celeb book), Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me by Mindy Kaling (which is exactly what you expect but peppy, entertaining and enjoyable) and I’ve just read Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin, the first in the series. With all the fuss over HBO’s San Francisco set gay drama Looking it’s fun to start into a series that uses 70s SF as a backdrop to tell the story of a mix of characters gay and straight.
Even with only a passing interest in Kimye this is just TOO CUTE 4 ME. aw.
The thirst is real *looks into the camera* and so are the laughs! *Canned laughter plays*
She’s great TV but at times this season she’s gone that bit too far I think. I did laugh at her n Joyce having to hug n her reaction this week though.
This. Is. Everything.
Great piece, praying you get to do more stuff in this vein as the film arrives *prays for Kristen Bell interview*
This is genius.
BAHAHAHA YES at the end. Blair was always the better character and even the show was a bit all over the place Leighton Meester kept me watching through the not-so great eps. I really hope she gets to become a big name in the next few years.
My main one was Veronica Mars so I am so glad the movie happened. I only properly watched My So-Called Life a few years ago and it’s such a shame that it wasn’t allowed to run for a few years, the response it got from one season as a touchstone for so many teens makes me wonder what it could have done if it had hung around longer. Especially since the WB cornered the market with teen dramas a few years later. You know it’s the kind of show that would have a shorter episode order and run for a few years today.
this could totally be the new “Surprise, Bitch” tbh
Ha thanks, let me write SJP n co. a letter ;)
So glad you highlighted how good these performances have been, the stuff she did on Japanese TV was so fun. I do think it’s unfair to slate her outfits etc, she turns the typical paparazzi jumble towards a star into something a bit more entertaining. We’ve plenty of cookie cutter stars trying to look perfect 24/7 I’m happy there’s one big name who will wear a Christmas Tree on her head and actually pull it off.
*gif I mean. Although I do love The Veronica Mars also.
Love the Veronica Mars gif, reminds me of the excellent “You got a trophy for a rim job?” joke they did once. WHAT A SHOW.
