nope, they are there because as an american citizen and an NRA member, I PAY THEM TO BE THERE. You do realize that hating the NRA is fuitless and the only reason they exist is because SO MANY citizens pay a lot of money for their protection against liberal lawmakers. They aren’t some faceless machine. As long as you’re young, healthy, and have a large build. Guns are equalizers. They are what empowers people to live without the fear of being taken over by someone bigger or stronger. Why don’t you tell my grandma not to carry a gun anymore and instead use a knife? That’s fair, right? Two thugs against an old lady with a pocket-knife?

Are you aware of the 1,000’s of laws that are already on the books? The people who commit these crimes break dozens of weapon laws when they carry out their vicious acts. The law, and the stiff penalties behind them don’t seem to be doing much to deter these crazies. I don’t think a few more is going to make a lick of difference.

Sorry, I’m a bit on edge. I’ve spent the last 3 weeks fighting to maintain my rights and defend myself against people who think I’m “evil” and “dangerous” for owning guns. That comment was pretty harsh, I’ll agree. I’m sorry for that. But can people at least acknowledge how scary all of this political crap is for gun owners? I’ve never hurt anyone in my life and now there are politicians that are trying to write legislation that would have me either turn in my rifle or go to jail. I’m downright scared.
