First off, they chose to find a job in a foreign country and were tricked and trafficked into the sex trade—I can bet you that was not by “choice”. Second, even if these women and girls willing became sex workers, it seems highly unlikely that the photographs above show a life that would have been chosen if there was ANY other option besides starve. What is truly elitist is our ignorance and blatant refusal to acknowledge the sex trade is occurring EVERYWHERE and we are doing virtually nothing to help.

wow it's pretty disappointing that people are directing their anger and disbelief at these ignorant girls rather than the actual perpetrator of the crime. Abuse is NEVER a joke, except for people who have never had any sort of contact with this awful behavior. A string of stupid comments like these reflects more on society than anything else, and a stupid comment (or anything else) will never mean someone deserves to be subject to abuse.
