1.You patiently wait through the summer, sweating and feeling gross while most everyone else is apparently having the time of their lives.
2.Then you patiently wait through the beginning of fall, which is usually just more summer.
3.And you try to will the autumn into existence because it's one step closer to the winter, and you just yearn for coziness, sweaters, crisp air, and – let's not kid ourselves – pumpkin spice.
4.Shut up, pumpkin spice is awesome.
5.But you just wait and wait and wait for the nice, cool weather to come.
6.And when it does all you hear is other people complaining about it.
7."It's so cold!," they whine. "This weather makes me want to die," they moan.
8.You flash back to all those months where you had to suffer through heat waves and sweating through your clothes while all these people talked endlessly about how awesome it was.
9.Sure, a lot of things about summer are great and fun. There's good in everything.
10.But if you say you enjoy the colder weather, they all act like you're a contrarian or a lunatic.
11.And if you complain about the summer, you're basically a pariah.
12.But they're the ones who are being contrary because there's soooo much to love in the winter. Unless you're some kind of maniac who hates coziness, that is.
13.Are you really gonna pretend that snow isn't pretty?
14.Could anyone possibly deny that the winter is the best season for cuddling?
15.It's unquestionably the best time of year for hot beverages.
16.When else can you get away with drinking a hot toddy or a hot buttered rum?
17.Or a nice cup of hot cocoa?
18.What kind of monster doesn't want a nice hot apple cider?
19.Fall and winter clothing are better than summer and spring clothing.
20.This is just a fact.
21.It's so much harder to pull off a casual classy look in the summer, especially if you're a dude.
22.Holiday parties are often the best parties of the whole year, especially if you want to see normally straight-laced people totally cut loose.
23.Sure, the sun goes down reallllllly early, but c'mon, the night is much cooler than the day.
24.Especially because there are Christmas lights all over the place.
25.Christmas lights are one of the great simple joys in life.
26.And c'mon! Puppies in snow! Puppies in snow!
27.It is kinda fun to delight in the misery of the summer people, as you had to suffer through their dumb season.
28.But really, who cares what the winter haters think?
29.You can just tune them out and delight in this wonderful winter wonderland.
