Is he carrying a…Christmas orb?
He was doing duckface before it was uncool…wait, was it ever cool?
It’s quite obvious this orb was where he got the inspiration for my favorite Garth song. The thunder does seem to be rolling, and the lightning striking on a sleepless night indeed.
I remember listening to this cd in the cab of my dad’s old truck with the heat at full blast and all the windows down (it’s how he liked to drive), looking out the window at the stars over the pastures of Oklahoma as we would drive across the state to go to my Grandma’s house for Christmas. Every now and then we’d see an old farmhouse covered in Christmas lights, but the most exciting part was watching the Witchita Mountains slowly rise up in the distance until they were towering over us and we knew we were almost there.
