I was the database administrator for a major hotel casino resort here in Vegas for a number of years, and I saw all the numbers from the nightlife revenue. While this is a little on the extreme end, it's by no means uncommon. We'd have people come up from LA on a Friday and drop $20 - $40K… every weekend for the entire summer. It seems like (sorry, IS) a ton of money, but standard markup on bottle service is 1000%, and it looks like this check was for 20 people or so, so yeah, it adds up. In fact, I felt bad about working for a company that made such ridiculous profit margins, until I realized that anyone dumb enough to pay $10 bucks for a Bud Light, or $200 for a bottle of Jack kinda deserves to get ripped off.
