Whoever they are they’ve got all that money and they don’t know what to drink beyond vodka and Red Bull and Dom, which they probably just think they should like. Sad, really.  I’m going to go to a nice cocktail bar with my wife and/or friends and spend $60 apiece and have a much better time. We’ll be able to hear each other over the music, too.

I was the database administrator for a major hotel casino resort here in Vegas for a number of years, and I saw all the numbers from the nightlife revenue. While this is a little on the extreme end, it’s by no means uncommon. We’d have people come up from LA on a Friday and drop $20 - $40K… every weekend for the entire summer. It seems like (sorry, IS) a ton of money, but standard markup on bottle service is 1000%, and it looks like this check was for 20 people or so, so yeah, it adds up. In fact, I felt bad about working for a company that made such ridiculous profit margins, until I realized that anyone dumb enough to pay $10 bucks for a Bud Light, or $200 for a bottle of Jack kinda deserves to get ripped off.

Meanwhile, a fireman in Ohio is losing his benefits and having his house foreclosed on.
