If you follow track and field sports, you would know that the 100-meter sprinters are stocky. They’re built more like football players — which makes sense, since football is largely about accelerating quickly and running short distances. The stereotypical skinny runner is a distance runner. You might see some of the skinny folks running in the 800-meter race. At 1600 meters, they’re all thin.
