mauser*girl a year agoTwo thoughts. First thought - some of these girls aren’t attempting to do gyaru makeup. They’re just wearing a lot of eyeliner and mascara which may or may not have anything at all to do with Japanese fashions. (Example … the “mydiary” link one of the girl with the cat-eye makeup. That’s really a 60’s thing and doesn’t have much to do with gyaru.) Second thought - the whole gyaru trend is Japanese girls trying to go for an exaggerated Barbie look. You know, looking like super-tanned white girls from California.
