Dear God, please protect our new president, guide him in all that he does, and continue to show him favor.

He is probably the most important president we've had in recent history. The comment about a bomb shows the ignorance that, unfortunately, some americans have. The idea of a KKK member or anyone standing on a corner with a gun hanging out of his pocket sounds like we live in a 3rd world country. I sincerely hope and pray that nothing happens to this man. He is the hope America needs.

In my home town the day after the elections, there was a KKK member standing on a street corner holding the american flag with a gun hanging out of his pocket. This was a scary sight. I think Obama needs bullet proof armor.

The bulletproof glass reflects (pun unintedned) nothing about President-elect Obama. It says a lot about the daft and ignorant people that try to spread their dumb ideology to the masses.

Get use to it. He will spend the next 4 years seperated from everyone by body guards and BP glass.

They have this same setup for the inauguration too. Any large outdoor appearance where they can not control 100% access, the Secret Service will deploy things like this. Yes, depressing that assassinations could happen, but nothing to do with Obama specifically.

I wish I'd noticed it! I missed like half the speech while I was praying frantically for their safety.
