Very, very sad. I read several of his works and essays, and he was a huge talent with wonderful sense of humor. His suicide definitely constitutes a huge loss to the literary world.
Culture Buzz David Foster Wallace, the author of Infinite Jest, was found hanged to death in his home at age 46 this past Friday night. A heartbreaking act of suicide has provoked a very emotional response from his many readers who felt a profound personal connection to him and his work.
