Sick, the parents must be two steps back on the evolutionary ladder if their eight year olds are already hairy little beasts.
Culture Buzz A story on MSNBC tells of a salon in NYC that offers waxing discounts on children 8 years and younger with “virgin” hair. And you thought getting to eat at Shoney’s for free was pretty cool! Kids and senior citizens always get the best deals on everything.

It all starts with a hot wax pad…

It sounds dirty scrambled too.
Getting a bikini wax is an adult thing to do; for one, you have to have an adult body to even need one. But maybe more kids are getting adult bodies sooner? The age of menstrual onset has been dropping since the 1960’s - changes in diet and nutrition and whatnot. I mean, a bikini wax may done in order to look more presentable (read: attractive) in both general (i.e. the beach) and adult (i.e. the bed) situations, but I think it still has some seriously adult connotations. And it seems weird that a mom would think their 8 year old kid even needed, let alone should have one. Also, getting a bikini wax is painful. Why subject your kid to extreme discomfort if you don’t have to?
