What blows my mind is how this company is trying to play “the victim of mainstream interpretations of beauty.” This crap doesn't belong on mainstream TV, anyway. I'm into lingerie models as much as the next guy, but I can't help being reminded of so many embarrassing commercials I had to sit through as a kid while watching TV with my parents. A Pepsi commercial couldn't even come onto the screen without making my face red and cueing an uncomfortable lecture from my parents about “fantasy and reality” and “the facts of life”. I can't even imagine what it must be like for girls having to sit through tampon commercials with their parents. Thank god this was before condom commercials. Now excuse me while I schedule my next therapy appointment.

If you're going to show a woman in her underwear on television, she's supposed to look like she just stepped out of a concentration camp. That way it's not sexy in any way for anybody, and doesn't arouse any sort of prurient interest.

Honestly, most Victoria's Secret ads are equally (if not more!) more revealing and are widely run. The fact that ABC and Fox refused to air it is nothing short of pathetic.
