I remember making wine cork boards with my mom when I was little. My grandparents would supply us with bags and bags of corks from all the wine they drank (not alcoholics, just Irish).

elizabethh25 10 months agoA porcelain marker is one thing - it is made and intended to be used and then baked. A sharpie? I don’t think so. FYI - when you use a porcelain marker, pieces can washed on the top rack of a dishwasher but, it’s best to hand wash them (do not use abrasives or a scrubbie). Do not draw on the inside of the mug & keep your design at least one inch from the lip of the cup.

pocketprotractor 4 months agoya, I think it’s pretty dangerous actually letting people think it’s a good idea to draw all over a sharpie (even where your mouth goes), put it in the oven (sharpie fumes are probably bad, right?), and then drink out of it… It’s the same thing with hair chalking… if you’re an artist, you’re aware of the heavy metals in soft pastels and inhaling or having extended contact with the dust is not so good…
