And women still can’t hold…
-
PeeAnnie a year agochiming in now! I am the head of the Relief Society in our local church district. I sit right along side the men as we make decisions that impact and improve the families that we minister to. I spent many nights out of my week assisting those who may need food, clothing or help with other temporal needs. I am deferred to and empowered just as much, if not more than the men. This belief is a myth, plain and simple. Women do not hold the priesthood (which we believe is the same as when Christ was on the earth) but we have the sacred power of motherhood and dominion over our families as well as hold many high ranking church positions. Come to church and see if you find any ‘subservient’ women - not in my congregation!

michizzle a year agoAdditionally, how can you believe you have any rights within your organization when it is run by a group of men who pass down what they say is god’s word?

michizzle a year agoBy rank I meant priesthood. I took a class on Mormonism taught by a Mormon. I really don’t care to visit any Mormon congregation at any time. Just because you don’t think you’re brainwashed doesn’t make the fact that you are any less true.
