America’s Next Great Restaurant was NBC’s reality show that offered the eventual winner the three-location chain restaurant of their dreams. They just didn’t say for how long.
After just a month, the New York location for Soul Daddy, the winning restaurant, is closed. On their website they don’t list the LA location either, leaving only the Minneapolis Mall of America location standing. As Eater’s Amanda Kludt asks, “Could it be that the reality show route isn’t the best choice for launching a business?”
