Look at this Monty Python sketch. It’s insane. Should they have been forced off of TV and never allowed to perform again? Of course not. They didn’t apologize for this either, and they were better for it. “I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately.” - Carlin.  Look at it this way, Tracy learned now where the line is and what doesn’t work. I agree, he should’ve known beforehand and could have come up with a way to make that funny, satirize those people who do kill their gay children or something (I don’t know), but he failed at that. It happens. Comedians aren’t always funny or quick. Don’t believe me? Go to an improv show sometime.

Most people think Will Ferrell is a pretty funny guy. And yet, in this sketch, he says, “I am this close to raping you!”
Should Will Ferrell apologise for this comment? If yes, why? He was on a show, following a script, and it was a joke. If no (for the above reasons), they why is everybody crucifying Tracy Morgan?
Can you imagine what a terrible world this would be if comedians weren’t allowed to joke about stuff that people find offensive?
Also, have you ever heard the Aristocrats joke? They made a movie. Do you really think there is a family that… well, you know the joke. The point is, it is horribly offensive. And fucking hilarious.
