This Mum Tried On Some Lingerie And It All Went Disastrously Wrong

"Desperately flailing around my bedroom in high heels, trying to hoik this godforsaken girdle monstrosity over my head." Some slightly NSFW language. Via Mumsnet.

This sultry underwear item from Marks & Spencer "uses clever multi-zoned control to shape and smooth your silhouette in all the right places" the company says.

But when Mumsnet poster Malory Archer tried to put one on, it didn't exactly go to plan.

    She said:

    The fuckers [angry emoji].

Bought this in an attempt to keep my rolls at bay for a night out this weekend. In my correct dress size, may I add.

I tried to get it up over my legs. Nope. Wouldn't stretch. It's made of very unstretchy material.

Then tried to get it over my head and almost twanged my eye out.

Tried again, got it under my armpits and it twanged again into a roll and I couldn't get it off [shock emoji] .

DS [my dear son] started crying which made me more flustered and panicky. I started hyperventilating and going red all while desperately flailing around my bedroom in high heels, minge akimbo, trying to hoik this godforsaken piece of shit girdle monstrosity over my head.

I was almost crying and about to reach for the scissors when it finally went over one arm. Another 5 mins of using muscles I didn't even know I had and it was off.

Someone pour me a wine .

Other Mumsnetters said she wasn't the only one to suffer such a fate.

Some of us (i.e. men) didn't realise underwear was such a dangerous business.

There should be some kind of inquiry into this kind of thing.

We've messaged the poster to make sure she's OK.
