Star Trek is more than movies, it has several solid series, you can't compare the two. But the last movie was really great. TNG and DS9 ftw! I'm naming my first born after a ST character, no joke I'm expecting.

Star Wars…the first three, #4, #5, and #6 were a great crew that picked up the ball and despite less technobabble, made a great trilogy. And then George thought, well, he could do better and sell the dickens out of it, wrote the next three in such a deadpan manner that Hayden Christenson and Natalie Portman and Ewan Mcgreggor, or ANY of a star studded cast could bring to life to save their souls.
I'm sorry, but #1, #2, and #3 are losers. Flat text, too much glitz (like the FIRST Star Trek movie) and nothing for content besides an old guy selling his Star Wars ware fast and furious. Trek just kept getting better.
Every movie was an improvement on the previous.
And now the new Star Trek crew…WOW! One thing is for certain.
I'm prejudiced, cause that Zoe Saldana is one pretty gal!
Oh well.
