    It's safe to say that lesbian bars have fallen under the radar. But fear not, though there are few of them, they do still exist. Here are ten lesbian hotspots in ten different cities definitely worth checking out.

    New York: The Dalloway

    A few months after its opening in October 2012, The Dalloway—a bar and restaurant in NYC's SoHo—has become one of the most popular spots for queer women in the city that never sleeps. From Girls Who Love Girls Night to Valentine's Day Lesbian Prom, this venue has offered up a variety of events welcoming the lesbian community and was founded by 'The Real L-Word' star Amanda Leigh Dunn and Writer/'America's Next Top Model's' contestant Kim Stolz.

    If you happen to be in New York, The Dalloway is teaming up with veer nyc to host the Adrogynous Fashion Show, featuring clothes designed specifically for the androgynous person, this Sunday at 7pm.

    San Francisco: The Lexington Club

    Celebrating its 16-year anniversary this February, The Lexington Club is "your friendly neighborhood dyke bar" located in San Francisco's Mission District. Open 365 days a year, with a laid back staff and reasonably-priced drinks, this bar—which I've heard includes a jukebox and a pool table, two definite mood-enhancing pros—is an excellent way for women who love women in the East Bay to spend their evening.

    Atlanta: My Sister's Room

    According to GA Magazine, the best place to meet women in Atlanta is My Sister's Room—a Sports Bar and Grill where every night is ladies night, located in East Atlanta Village. An exciting feature: The bar holds a weekly Twisted Sister Karaoke Night. This may be one of the few places you can eat a plate of sweet potato fries and swoon over lesbians singing "We're Not Gonna Take It" at the same time.

    Though the atmosphere may be a bit cigarette-smokey at times, for those of you passing through or living in Pittsburgh, PA, Cattivo is the one and only official lesbian bar in the city. If you're looking for a good slice of pizza and a little burlesque, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

    Seattle: The Wildrose

    Another sole lesbian bar and restaurant of its city, The Wildrose, has been around for more than two decades. With $3 microbrews, trivia nights, live bands, and rotating Open Mic events for Seattle's queer spoken word and poetry girls—plus a delicious Sunday brunch—this venue is a hard one to pass up.

    Knoxville: The Carousel II

    For those of you farther south, The Carousel is Knoxville's oldest continually open, "one-name, one-location" gay and lesbian bar. A home to the gay community since the 1980's, this bar is said to have the best drag shows around.

    Austin's lady-centered, gay friendly bar and club provides a space for queer women, along with all members of the LGBT community, to come together, listen to music, sip a drink at the picnic tables on their outside deck, or check out the work of local artists in their lounge.

    Northampton: Ye Ol' Watering Hole

    And lastly, but certainly not least, every Thursday night the dive bar and beer museum, Ye Ol' Watering Hole, holds their officially unofficial gay night, during which the queer ladies of NoHo gather to drink good beer, play darts, cards or pool, and hang out with the community at large.
