1. You say animals/children/inanimate objects cannot legally enter marriage. You’re right, they can’t, for now… but what if we change the laws to allow it? The same way you want them changed to allow gay marriage? Don’t you see how this is setting the precedent for bending over to everyone’s fetishes?
What about polygamy? It’s funny how everyone is for gay marriage, but not for polygamy, if I have 10 women I want to marry, why am I prevented? Oh right, it’s not fashionable and is ‘degrading’ to women. You’re all a bunch of hypocrites. 2. Stop throwing ‘equality’ around like a communist. Needs trump wants, anything that undermines the fabric of society is not what society needs. My children are not confused, but I see a lot of boys who think they’re girls and girls who think they’re guys, that will grow into a bigger problem over time if allowed unchecked. 3. Why do you need to call it marriage? I’m happy enough for you to have civil unions, but why do you have to drag marriage into this? Is it just so you can say ‘my husband’? That’s a little bit silly, is all this crying worth it? 4. Only using a surrogate, and even then it is veiled child thievery. There’s a reason why you need a male and female to reproduce, that is the natural and normal order for mammals. 5. It is my business when you try to change the definition of concepts to dilute their meaning and make them ‘equal’, it would be like saying ‘oranges are lemons because they are both citrus fruits’. It is my business when you parade homosexuality as normal, when it goes against nature. It is my business when you whine about gay marriage day after day because we have to put up with it. I have no problem with interracial relationships, male and women are meant to reproduce. What annoys me is how he uses this as equivalent to gay marriage to justify it in his half baked argument. You’re right, people can marry and not have children, but those couples have the potential to procreate in principle, since they are male and female, barring any circumstances (circumstances do not change the principle) such as age or disability.
With gay marriage, there is NO potential of the same genders reproducing at all, unless they bring in a surrogate. That’s a bit like having a child with someone who’s not your wife and then taking that child as your own, it has a hollow, shallow, empty, unpassionate feeling. At least orphans or children born out of wedlock were produced by people who actually felt some passion for eachother.
