Obama Campaign Reclaims The Term "Obamacare"
Flipping the script on a slur. As a new healthcare message begins to emerge from Chicago, the President’s social media outlets, David Axelrod and Nancy Pelosi are clearly reading from the same page.

In a campaign email Friday, David Axelrod exuberantly embraced “Obamacare,” originally a Republican term of abuse for the healthcare reform law.
The President’s twitter feed is all about “Obamacare.”
The campaign tumblr and Nancy Pelosi are getting in on the action as well.

Meanwhile, the White House website continues to use the official name for the healthcare reform bill, the Affordable Care Act.

Because a year agoIt’s not the name that’s the problem. “Obamacare” is perfectly neutral, a shortening of “Obama’s health care plan,” which is how most people think of it. The problem is that people don’t like the plan itself.
