The Hug A Sandy Survivor Project

Perhaps it will help over time. I hope so.

You’ve heard about or seen the pictures of the devastation. Unprecedented.

So many people are affected. Millions in the dark for so long.

So many shaken, and homeless.

They are from:

West Virginia
North Carolina
Maryland
Washington D.C.
New Hampshire
Vermont
Maine
Massachusetts
Delaware
and Pennsylvania

Connecticut

Long Island

Westchester

NYU Medical Center
The VA Hospital
Bellevue Hospital
Riverdale
Staten Island
Long Beach
Lindenhurst
The Rockaways
Breezy Point
and lower Manhattan

Hoboken
Jersey City
Atlantic City
A lot of New Jersey

Cuba
Haiti
Bahamas
Puerto Rico
the Dominican Republic
and elsewhere.

Sooo… let us reach out to those survivors, in-person, when we can, and for awhile… with a hug.

Ask.
Ask around wherever you are.

Seek out the survivors.

Give them a hug.

And tell them you are glad they are now safe.

And that they will be okay.

As they rebuild, refocus, and more, let us all participate in their recovery.

And I remind you, let us do this for awhile.
