Brian H. 2 months agoIf this Von Kleist’s father was Field Marshal Von Kleist then the reporting that the Field Marshal was shot for the assassination attempt is wrong. Field Marshal Von Kleist was captured by the Americans and extradited to Yugoslavia then the Soviet Union where he died in prison. Field Marshal Von Kleist was one of the few german generals who would disobey Hitler and was sacked for ordering his 8th Army to retreat from the Soviets.
