I’m only 18 so I’m obviously still learning about issues and forming opinions on things, but I’d say I’m moderately “anti-gun” (or rather pro-more federal gun control laws) so I thought I could put in my two cents. The fact is, just like banning computers wouldn’t stop bullying or banning shoes wouldn’t stop all airport terrorism, allowing no one but police to carry guns wouldn’t stop violence. However, a computer or a shoe are not actual *weapons*. I mean, these things literally are weapons used to kill people and people can just go out buy them. I really am uneducated when it comes to the various state laws of buying guns, but I do know that you don’t need a background in every state and that it’s pretty easy to buy guns around the country. I understand people wanting them for protection, but clearly there are many people who want them for, yknow, shooting up schools and whatnot. I just feel like there is seriously a lack of control with who has guns in this country and I have to say that I disagree with the constitution in this case and feel that, no, not everyone should have the “right” to keep and bear arms because some people are crazy and shoot little kids in schools and some teenagers kill other teenagers in schools and people get into fights and shoot people so…yeah. I might sound totally stupid, but it would be interesting to hear your response.
