I work with Medicare and can't stand the over 50 crowd. They are selfish, ignorant, racist bigots. How many times in a day do I get asked what my race is? My last name is German. They are so hung up on race, economic status, and expect government handouts. This is why I am quitting my job. I am so sick of the attitude that just because you've been around longer, I need to respect your sorry ass! Respect is earned. And “limited income”? Go out and get a job. Who isn't on a limited income? My income is limited to the hours in the day that I can work a respectable job. Stop complaining about your money problems and get a job as a Wal-mart greeter.

HOA are stupid and so are old people

I was born and raised in Florida, I lived there for 25 years. This type of thing is VERY common. When I got married and searched for a house of our own it was super hard to find homes that weren't in “55 and over” subdivisions. This is really sad to see a child caught up in such a mess, but the fact is that homeowner's associations are legally allowed to impose such restrictions on people. Stories like this are a good example of why the laws governing HOA's need to be reformed big time. If this was a landlord of an apartment complex evicting someone just for having kids living with them, s/he'd be sued faster than you can say “discrimination” but a HOA can do it with impunity. In fact, the very reason HOA's ever came into being at all was to keep those they deemed “undesirables” out of certain neighborhoods, such as black people, Jews, foreigners or anyone under a certain level of income. http://www.thehoaprimer.org/
