He was an Australian performance artist, fashion designer, singer, and a charismatic powerhouse. Bowery dominated the art and fashion scene in New York and London throughout the '80s and '90s before he died in 1996. He was, without a doubt, one of the most interesting people of all time... and you're about to see why:

In 1994, Bowery performed at Wigstock, the annual drag music festival held in New York's East Village.

During Bowery's set, he sang "Love Stands Tall and Free."
