Instagram Has Banned #Curvy As A Search Term

But check out all the other fun things you can find!

Have you ever tried searching #curvy on Instagram?

While you can search for #curvybabe and other variations on the term...

... it appears that simply #curvy on its own is a banned search term on the social media app.

#Thin and #skinny are searchable, though they each come with a warning about eating disorders.

And #fat, often used in the context of thinspiration posts and as corporate ammunition alongside hashtags like #femalemotivation, is all good.

    #Obese is easy, too.

Sticking with body-related themes, #butt is out.

    You can't find #thighs.

And you know the #nipple still hasn't been freed.

Want to search #fatpig or #fatfuck, though? No problem.

Could "curvy" be sexually explicit, perhaps? #Dildo's all good, and chock-full of dick pics.

At least #vibrator photos seem a little more accurate.

If you want to find photos tagged #bitch, feel free to do so.

Oh! And you can also easily search #forced, whose results include women tied up and Bill Cosby memes.

BuzzFeed Life has reached out to Instagram for comment.

A spokesperson from Instagram said the hashtag #curvy is not searchable because, according to the company, it was being used to share images and videos that violated Instagram's community guidelines around nudity.
