Unveiled in 2010 and called "Stalinist and un-African", this statue is situated on a hill overlooking the ocean - making it the first thing that any visitor to Dakar sees. And it cost $27 million to construct.

Located only a few miles from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse has been under construction since 1948. When the original sculptor, Poland immigrant Korczak Ziółkowsk, passed away his widow and children vowed to complete it. But they have a long way to go - the finished sculpture is supposed to include the head and entire torso of crazy horse riding...on a horse.

Installed outside the Denver Airport since 2008, this guy is anatomically correct, has blue skin, and glow-in-the-dark robot eyes. The intention of the statue is still unknown since the artists who created him past away after a section of the 9,000-pund fiberglass Blue Mustang statue FELL ON HIM during construction.
