In BttF 3, after going to the past and back to the future, Clayton Ravine has its name changed because Doc saved Clara CLAYTON from falling into the ravine and having it named after her.

I don't need to echo the other “it was clearly pointed out in the movie” sentiments, but I'd like to thank the OP for reminding me about this cool detail of one of my favourite movies EVER :D It's a lot like movie message boards on IMDb that discuss little details you may or may not have noticed (the LoTR boards have a lot of those threads).

Hmmmm, it's been a while since I seen it, but I could've sworn it changed to “Space Aliens Killed My Tree Mall”.

I own the movie and have seen it a b'zillion times, and even LOVE sometimes gnit-picking them, but I never once saw that danged detail!

Um. Whether you noticed this before or not (and not to be snotty, but it WAS made pretty obvious), it doesn't qualify as a “mind fuck”. It's more of a “cool detail”.

Also what's really cool is that in the end his family is all better off than they were before he went back in time. Real cool minor detail that others might have missed since they missed this too.
