I see other people have noticed how similar the two names are? Osama Bin Laden Obama Biden Just take out a couple of letters. A little too eerily similar to me. I just took photos of Osama and Obama and did a little photoshop work on one. With the all the cammaflouge off there is a quite a lot of similarity. And with cosmetic surgery almost anything can be done. Even height can be changed now a days. Where is Osama Bin Laden? Hiding out in our own backyard as President of the United States. Well if anything…it would make a good novel. Still I wonder….. Sorry kind of a sloppy photoshop job.

BUZZ: @Jason Ellinger, the difference is that when an individual fakes an image like this, it’s a prank, and thankfully it’s not picked up by credible news sources. When Fox News runs ridiculous stuff like, Michelle Obama “Obama’s Baby Mama” or “Left Wing Media Enjoys Defeatism for Breakfast,” they do it under the guise of credible journalism, and that Fox News’ worst offense.

BUZZ: It’s Fake… The actual report that the screenshot was taken from can be found here: http://www.cato.org/videohighlights/index.php?highlight_id=36 It is from an interview with Daniel Griswold of the CATO institute about NAFTA on Feb 29,2008. Look at the thumbnail used before the interview even plays. The actual part that was screencapped and edited is about 3/4 of the way in. What I find most sad is the feeling that, as one person posting to DemocraticUnderground.com put it, “Even if it’s a fake, we know that this type of thing is SOP for Fox, so I have no problem disseminating it as real.” How on earth is that any different than what they are claiming about Fox News?

BUZZ: @Mike Miller, you have a valid point about the type treatment, but I don’t think it’s a problem in this case. Most type families have a condensed variant, and it looks to me like the condensed font was used on line two as a way to vertically match up the letter form placements on line one. I can’t say with certainty whether or not the image has been ‘shopped (the source image is too small its origin hasn’t been verified), but I don’t think the condensed type treatment hurts its potential for validity.
