Ringing In The New Year At Niagara Falls

These four finalists have won an all expenses paid trip to Niagara Falls for New Year’s Eve!

Our first finalist is Lynn Yetman. In the true spirit of giving, Lynn entered one of her own photos into our contest on behalf of her neighbours, who had lost their home 2 weeks ago in a fire. Bill and Bev Charles, left only for a short time, when they received the call. By the time Bill arrived home, the house was gone. They lost their family pets, and all of their belongings. The family has been devasted by this catastrophe.

We at Niagara Falls Tourism felt that this family deserved some Christmas cheer, please join me in congratulating the Charles’ on winning their all expenses paid trip here for New Year’s Eve.

Finalist number 2 the family of 10! We have no idea how this family of 10 saw Niagara Falls in one day with 8 children. I spoke with Larry today and he said they couldn’t afford to stay overnight so they had to get up at 7am and they didn’t get home till the wee hours of the morning. We decided Larry was right he did need some alone time with wife Nicole. It’s their first New Year’s Eve together without the kids since 2000?! They say it’s hard to find a baby sitter for New Year’s Eve but their families have pulled together to make sure they have a weekend in Niagara Falls. Say congratulations to Larry and Nicole!

Bring me back home. Well there’s a request we cannot refuse. Krystle lives a long way from her Dad, friends and family, considering she lives waaay out in New Brunswick air fare is a little pricey. We LOVE family reunions at Niagara Falls Tourism at that is why Krystle is our third finalist on this contest.

Debbie Watson is the winner of our ‘Best Photo’ prize. We love the aerial view of the peacebul Winter Scene. The rich colours and heightened detail beckons the viewer to see more, even though it is overcast. Absolute proof that it doesn’t have to be a sunny day for the Falls to be an extraordinary beauty. Congratulatons Debbie, for having a unique view of Niagara Falls that has captured the judges hearts in our Picture This Niagara contest.
