Jero — aka Jerome White, a 27-year-old Pittsburgh native — is has found stardom in the world of enka, or Japanese lounge music from the 1940s. His Japanese grandmother sang enka songs to him as a child. Jero moved to Japan after college and entered a talent contest. The rest is history.
