    Fans Around The World Made A Moving Video For Bob Marley's "Get Up, Stand Up"

    Three decades after his death, Marley's message is alive in the 21st century.

    Thirty-three years after his death in 1981, Bob Marley is at the top of the charts.

    To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Legend, Marley’s family invited fans to recreate the lyrics of 1973's "Get Up Stand Up" using the hashtag #getupstandup. This is the resulting video:

    The Marley family and Waterproof Pictures scrapped the hashtag and created the lyric video, which has a protest theme.

    “We're always looking for opportunities to allow the fans to be able to engage with my father’s music in new ways, and let them help define what his legacy will be in the 21st century," Ziggy Marley told BuzzFeed News.
