To be fair, I don’t think most of the people are actually looking at her. I often look past people to see other things, it may look like I’m looking at you but I’m looking at the bus time table or to make sure I can cross the road. How often have you thought someone is waving at you when it’s the person behind you? And in a few of the photos she’s in everyone’s way, bending down to tie her lace in the middle of the street, holding out a massive map. I’d give you a dirty look to.  But yes, people do stare at you when you’re over weight, I used to be 19st and get dirty looks and stares as well. It also doesn’t help that she’s wearing such ill fitting clothes. People are obsessed with looks and want to feel better about themselves by comparing themselves with people less attractive.
