When we had our last cicada invasion, one of our dogs kept dislocating her knees because of the weight she gained from gorging on them. She spent nearly a year alternating her front legs in casts. She was a gluttonous cow. :)

Use Simple Green degreaser in your carpet scrubber instead of the way too expensive shampoos. It gets out EVERYTHING and it doesn’t leave any of the soapy residue that the shampoo leaves, which only attracts more dirt. The green doesn’t stain either, as long as you use the rinse function on your scrubber. I use it on my white carpets with no problems.
