The 2012 Houston Texans went 12-4 and were AFC South champs. So coming into this season, the fans had high expectations and were honestly projecting a Super Bowl-bound team.
After a thrilling come-from-behind victory on Monday Night in Week 1, everyone was feeling energetic. Sure, it wasn’t pretty, but a win’s a win.
But then something happened. The Texans continued to play sloppily, and nobody could really understand why.
And then it started to become embarrassing.
And despite Matt Schaub setting an NFL record by throwing a pick-six in four consecutive games, the fans were still behind him.
Even though it was killing them on the inside.
And then it was just too much to handle.
So that disappointment turned into anger.
Which then led to cheering for backup Case Keenum.
Who quickly became the new fan favorite, even though the team still wasn’t winning.
And as the losses piled up, the sadness ensued.
Now the team is on a nine-game losing streak and everyone’s pretty much lost hope.
And the only thing left for fans to do is sit alone with their thoughts.
Since nobody wants to go to a Texans game anymore.
Unless it’s to do this.
