36 Reasons Tumblr Was The Best Site In 2014

"Imagine if you sneezed and then spoke another language for the rest of your life..."

1. It was hilariously honest.

2. And not afraid to go there.

3. It made us think about life a little differently.

4. From the subtleties of everyday products...

5. To the order of the alphabet...

6. And the endless possibilities of life itself.

7. Plus, it opened our eyes to the truth about lollipops...

8. Made us question everything...

9. And never hesitated to keep it real.

10. Because it wasn't afraid to go places we've never gone before...

11. Or ask (and answer) the important questions in life.

12. Like why women's clothes don't have pockets...

13. If boys can feel girl's boobs during a hug...

14. And whether twins have the same size dick.

15. Because Tumblr was also educational this year.

16. From the smallest little nuggets of information...

17. To the mind-blowing depths of why the pupil seems to devour light like a black hole.

18. But it was also uplifting.

19. Reminding us that we're the protagonist of our own story.

20. Plus, it taught us to stand up for ourselves...

21. And that sometimes it's important to take a second look.

22. And this year Tumblr was, of course, strange...

23. Encouraging...

24. Challenging...

25. Personal...

26. Intimate...

27. And wonderfully odd.

28. It was a place where everything you thought you knew was turned upside down...

29. Like what women really want (boys with button-ups, but with the sleeves rolled to their elbows).

30. But above everything else, Tumblr was a place where we could just be our weird selves...

31. And talk about whatever we wanted to talk about.

32. Whether it was spoons...

33. Spiders...

34. Or a science fiction story about aliens invading earth.

35. Because we're not always looking for one specific thing...

36. Unless it's Justin Timberlake.
