1. No matter what, everything you write looks like it was scribbled by a toddler.
2. Even when you take your time, the letters still come out illegible.
3. You're just sort of used to tearing out a page and starting all over.
4. Or having to scratch out or erase an entire sentence.
5. Which is why pens and permanent markers are your biggest enemy...
6. Birthday and Thank You cards are your worst nightmare...
7. And why school projects always sucked.
8. When you have crappy handwriting, you just accept that certain letters will always look weird when you write them.
9. And recognize that having to explain what you wrote to someone (because they can't read it) is just a part of the process.
10. Even though sometimes you can't even decipher your own handwriting.
11. You're jealous of anyone with moderately good handwriting.
12. And in awe of anyone with solid writing skills.
13. Because it's tough to be taken seriously when your handwriting is so sloppy.
14. And it's embarrassing to be an adult with child-like penmanship.
But the good news is that people with bad handwriting have a special bond with one another. We're like a club. And we can write notes to each other without any fear that someone will read our secret conversations.
