Watch Delta Goodrem's Cringe-Worthy Debut Single Inspired By Britney Spears

Before she was Born To Try and years before she was Sitting On The Top Of The World, Delta Goodrem made her debut with a rarely seen single inspired by Britney Spears...

Delta Goodrem is Australia's very own pop princess

At 15 she was signed to Sony and scored a record deal

She also became one of our favourite Neighbours on the classic Aussie soap

But before she won 23 ARIA Awards for her skills as a singer/songwriter

And impressed us all with her talent on the piano

    She had a debut single...

    No, not Born To Try

It was a cover of American singer Angela Via's pop song I Don't Care

And it's kinda amazing... ly bad

Released in 2001, the song was a flop - reaching only 24 on the ARIA chart

Copies of the single are so rare, they have been sold on eBay for nearly $200

Infact, you can barely hear Delta under the layers of Britney Spears-esque production

And the video is just as bad

The blonde beauty plays a rebellious teen with a questionable fringe

She disobeys the advice of her father and friends

So she can hang out with her rebellious boyfriend

We know he's rebellious because he rides a motorbike and wears sunglasses

    And doesn't believe in shirts

    The dancing is... er, something

'I don't care what they do, nothing's gonna stop me loving you, I don't care what they say, I'm gonna love you anyway'

Let us all be grateful she found a way to say Not Me, Not I
