If Jordan had an editor who stood up against him and made him take out 4/5 of all the references to men being stubborn and women huffing and crossing their arms, and just in general make the books 300-400 pages tops, then maybe the plot would have moved on a little more and I wouldn’t have given up on book 8. Where it was going was great, the road was horrible at times.
