I think this is a TRUE miracle! And God love them for seeing it as a blessing. I know they love that baby more than anything. It takes a strong couple to make a baby together - it takes a STRONGER couple to make it work! Props to Bobby & Shana! Shana is 10 times the woman I (and most others) will ever be!

I'm sorry dudes, IF you are capable of fathering a baby, I'm happy for you. Just because I am 63 years old, now, it doesn't matter to me if she knew she was 'preggo' or not. The truly beautiful part of this whole story is just that she missed out on having the opportunity to have her child murdered, by a democrat abortionist !!

You know…you can actually FEEL a baby moving around inside you! How can she miss that?? It's unmistakeable! It doesn't feel like gas, your guts are mashed together… it's unlike any sensation in the world. And she's not obese! I'm sure she had to question the movement of the belly. This is why we need Sex Ed & Reproductive Health Classes accessible to our teens… NOW.

Gotta stick up for the ladies on this one. It's weird and counter-intuitive, but it does happen. A very intelligent friend of mine disappeared during our senior year of college. She stopped drinking and started going to bed at like 8:30 every night. We were concerned, but she said she was okay. We figured she was just trying to be, ya know, an adult. Then one day at a pot luck dinner, she became very insistent that we all watch a video together. It was a grainy black and white video with an amorphous shape jiggling around. Right after a friend screamed “It's an alien!” we all noticed her name in the corner and realized that we were watching her ultra sound. Three weeks later she had a beautiful, healthy little girl. It was a serious WTF moment there for a second, but there was no reason for derision. It's real easy to grab your dick and grunt about women being dumb, but seriously dudes, we have absolutely no idea what goes on during pregnancy and never will. Or, to paraphrase a bumper sticker, get your ignorance off of their bodies.

To Sage Moore, to suggest to someone they would hide a pregancy, risk harm to their unborn child & themselves for the sake of what?? So no one would know?? Do you really think someone would be that self absorbed? I commented politely because although it is very rare & due to mitigating circumstances, full term or partial term pregnancies where the woman is unaware DO happen. Although women in circumstances like mine don't have to defend ourselves against the likes of you, I do because you're wrong & incredibly ignorant….especially to call someone you don't even know a liar, or dismiss them as talking nonsense or not wanting someone to know because you don't believe something is possible. I would love to have enjoyed the experience of being pregnant & had the time to plan & purchase things ahead of time, which would have been great opposed to my husband having to go out last minute & get everything on our credit card, not to mention ensure my baby had all the appropriate prenatal care - there's no fucking way I would be so selfish or crazy as to hide a pregnancy & put my child in danger like that. It would have been nice to have my own mother nearby, not halfway across the country as a month before my delivery she went to visit family out of town. And I suggest you talk to some Ob/Gyns for clarification, or again maybe educate yourself by reading that text I mentioned earlier…of course that would take work on your part & an open mind, so I realize it's not likely. There are reasons why you don't feel movement from the baby other than it possibly being dead, in my case as I stated, my pelvic bone which is shaped wrong, rectangular not heart shaped as most women have, did not allow enough room for movement or full dilation, it was a c-section, and she was transverse breech. I think I'll take the word of the experts & specialists @ my local hospital who have are in the medical field & have their degrees as opposed to someone like yourself whos' talking out their ass.

Every woman knows when they are pregnant, she just didn't want anyone to know about it. After a few months your body does change and you will notice the difference. I had my menstrual for four months, lightly though and I didn't gain weight, but during the fifth month I felt movement inside and trust me, you do feel the baby moving especially when you are near your 6th or 7th month of pregnancy. The only way you don't feel the baby moving, means that the baby could be dead. So enough with all this nonsense of not knowing you were pregnant when you delivered during your 40th week of pregnancy.

Dear Matt, Let me give you a lesson in human sexuality/reproductive health. I too was a woman who went the full 40 wks without knowledge of my pregnancy & still gave birth to a healthy infant, luckily for me & her, at my local hospital. Reasons 1-6 applied to me, so I think this qualifies me to comment on this issue. Prior to this experience I would never have thought this possible. The reactions I got ranged from rage (my Mother in law declared we had hid the pregnancy from her & I was the devil, even questioning the paternity) to joy (close friends were relieved we were safe!) to shock (my family, bewildered that it could happen) to how could you not know??? (from an Aunt who had asked a few months prior if I was pregnant, to which I responded no, not possible, still getting my periods, thanks! & thought she's just being bitchy/catty about my weight gain. So, in the interest of science, here we go, since you're unaware. 1. Every womans cycle is different. Not all of us have a regular period every 28 days that consists of moderate to heavy bleeding. 2. It IS possible to have a period while you're pregnant. It usually happens when there is an issue with the fluid sac your baby is in. 3. Is this woman “plus size”? Does she have a wrong shaped pelvic bone (this would give the baby no room to move, another reason she would not have noticed (it can cause a Caesarean section to be necessary as your pelvic bone will not allow full dilation) 4. Could she have recently stopped smoking or drinking, causing her to think this was why she had gained weight? 5. Did she not experience the “milk leakage” during her pregnancy? Not all women have that “oh so fun” (not) experience. 6. No morning sickness? That one is always a plus! 7. Did she take a pregnancy test & get a negative? This sometimes happens. I say this not maliciously because apart from calling her “the most clueless person in the world” you seem polite about your shock at her situation. I would also politely suggest reading a textbook on these matters, because you would be surprised at all the stuff they don't teach in sex ed. After my experience, I read everything I could find on human sexuality/reproductive health because your first thought is, if this wasn't covered in sex ed, what ELSE wasn't? (like the extremely rare case in Dallas recently where a woman gave birth to twins who were fathered by 2 different men…YES you read that right!). So anyways, sorry for the long comment, but I hope it makes you reconsider your opinion on the subject & what you called this woman.

Dudes! TLC has an entire show dedicated to stories like this! It's called “I didn't know I was Pregnant” or something to that effect. I unfortunately got sucked into a marathon of it and have not been comfortable since.

Though my first response was to laugh and loudly proclaim “DUMBASS!”, Christine M. is right. Everyone's body responds differently to pregnancy, and many of the signs might not have been there. Also, there are rare cases when a woman's belly doesn't balloon out quite as much as you would think it would, and she probably thought she was getting a beer gut. Sigh. Still, it's a lot more fun to laugh and yell out, “DUMBASS!” to the bewilderment of your upstairs neighbors.

Leave it to a boy to be criticize a woman in this situation. Clearly, you do not know anything. Even while pregnant, a woman may have signs of a monthly cycle and not gain any weight. How about we keep the misogyny off this website?
