Here’s a graph from the Washington Post about what Planned Parent does.
GOP Logic: Eliminating 35% of Planned Parenthood federal funding that goes to contraception in order stop the 3% of Planned Parenthood non-federal funding that goes to abortion. “We’re gonna need a bigger 3%”
Here is my biggest issue here… There are THREE things our government should be most concerned with [and should therefore, receive the most attention and financing]: EDUCATION, NUTRITION, and HEALTHCARE. And I say these are the things they should be most concerned about because this is what make up our country… the people! without our health and education… we are nothing. When your government takes these things away form you, it is very obvious they could give a rats ass about its citizens… but then again, our school systems are whack, our food supply is mostly genetically engineered, and our health care is being compromised left and right…. Thank your government!!!
Nice try. 98% of Planned Parenthood’s so-called “services” to pregnant women are abortions—ripping, burning, crushing innocent little babies that never did anything to hurt anyone. As a former fetus and a survivor, there is no reason why I should be forced to fund a bunch of dirty Eugenicists.
Post college and post layoff, it’s where I got my pap smears when I had no health insurance.
ug , we don’t need more unwanted children because people can’t afford birth control or abortions, this means more children being neglected, abuse, abandoned or in the foster care system , its not fair to the children , some children (don’t take this the wrong way ) are better off not being born , or even conceived. now of corse some government health insurence will cover birth control costs , but not everyone applies or knows about it , planned parenthood is a wonderful resource, this whole thing is just so dumb “unesscessary” my ass
Planned Parenthood has been a godsend throughout my young adulthood. I go to them for affordable and timely access to birth control so that I WON’T be in a position to have an abortion. They’ve been there for me when I couldn’t afford insurance, and also when I could but my regular gynecologist didn’t have a free appointment for weeks. They’ve been there when I’ve had bladder infections and my doctor’s office was closed for the weekend. They’ve been there to see that my uterus is cancer-free and my body is avoiding STDs. They helped me sort through all of the different kinds of birth control that my body didn’t like before we found the one it did. The people who work there are saints.
if having an abortion sends women to hell, then so be it. That’s their eternity. Since when has matters of people’s personal life become the concern of the government?
That’s exactly 342,000 abortions every year. Not hating, on Planned Parenthood, just did the math. Abortions(3%) of their total services (11.4 million).
