What Happened To Kelly Clarkson?  She got fat.

that’s just a really bad picture. she’s curvy yeah, you can tell in the other pics, but she doesn’t look that ugly, that’s just in one pic. she’s always had a bad metabolism, you could tell when she was on AI, she was a bit heavier, then she lost weight, and now she’s bigger again. it doesn’t matter as long as she can still sing. i’m glad she’s not an anorexic waif, though she’s not huge either, she’s a healthy weight IMO.

“What Happened To Kelly Clarkson?”  Despite being the same four foot tall, extremely short-limbed, large jointed, reality-TV-created celebrity she always was, a single unfortunate image taken while she was speaking during a concert which showed a blurred jaw line and slightly contorted, mid-fricative-phoneme facial expression was pounced upon by body-image nazis, pseudo-celebrity bloggers, and Britney Spears number one fan… And that’s all that “happened”. I’m not a fan and I could care less, if I hadn’t clicked on the link assuming it might be about something genuinely interesting or controversial. The story about her ridiculous and suggestive album cover was, this isn’t. This girl has had to go through her entire career to this point making wardrobe choices that never showed her knees, out of fear of the body nazi celebrity press - to the point where even I had noticed it seeing a couple talk show interviews and a clip of her first movie. So, Mr. Britney-Fan Stopera, have you never noticed Spears body type? At, like, five foot nothing, with robust musculature, when Spears shaved her head she looked exactly like a man. Number of blog-posts I care to read about that, or this = 0.

Yeah, she obviously looked better before but I support the girl and she still is a great talent however her appearance may be. Better she not be coke-thin and look real!

She maybe a great singer and all but I prolly wouldn’t want to see her in one of those “walking around times square buttnaked” videos though…or would I?

I have no problem with her being heavier—but her market value plummets with each extra pound. Sad, but true. She’s not perceived (nor are many) as simply a singer, but an entertainer. People buy the entire image along with the singing—the fantasy of the person on stage. That fantasy is destroyed if the person is too ‘normal’. Beauty and eccentricity sell, normalcy sits on the shelf.

Who gives a fuck??? I’m guessing any guy, or girl for that matter, who thinks they can critique someone else’s body is probably fat as well… (hello! Perez Hilton is fat!!!). So back off. Let her do her thing - I’m not a fan of her music but I don’t see how her body has anything to do with it.

Are people serious? She looks completely bovine and has jowls under her chin and her arms. As a celebrity, it’s part of your job to maintain your looks. It’s not like she was a twig and now she’s normal; she was normal and now she’s a fat Robert Plant.
