a hilarious commentary on american apparel, NOT a mockery of trans men/women…and half the humor is that so many people think it's real BECAUSE it's so bizarre that American Apparel would totally do it just to be radical. Major thumbs up.

I didn't want to be offended by this, but I have to be.
She has a mustache, she has a huge bulge that she is exaggerating, the only joke here is “trans people are disgusting” there is no other way to look at it. As a trans women I'm embarrassed by this video, because to me, and every other t-girl that I know, the thought of deliberately exposing any male traits is absolutely mortifying. We don't want to be thought of as men in any capacity.

What are they even trying to do? I sincerely don't understand what American Apparel is hoping to accomplish here. The model is not wearing anything that really approaches fashion, and (sorry to say) she looks absolutely horrible… like a washed-up stereotype. I mean really. I am a trans man, and I have about half a dozen IRL trans women friends…. and that ad burns with stupidity. It's not even offensive so much as it is painfully stupid.
