First of all, I acknowledge that releasing your pet (and sometimes illegal) snake into the wild is a completely irresponsible thing to do.
However, it’s not like snakes are responsible for a bunch of deaths each year. Introduced species of animals can really throw an ecosystem out of whack, I get that, but these are not killer animals. (For comparison, I checked out how many deaths are caused by snakes each year in the U.S. There have been 7 recorded deaths from snakes - from venomous bites, not constrictors - since 2000. In comparison, there were 33 deaths from dog attacks in 2010 alone.)
