What stands in my mind as the most extreme case I've seen on Intervention was the lady whose alcoholism was so bad that she drank large amounts of mouthwash (liquor had become hard for her to obtain), and slept at night cuddling with her mouthwash bottle, and then started every day with a big gulp of the stuff. I swear, cocaine and heroin and their ilk have nothing on alcohol…

Well, that was depressing.

Having been on both sides of the fence myself, watching that video was a weird mixture of nauseating/anxiety inducing/funny now that I'm sober.

Can we have a supercut of drunk people falling asleep in silly places and/or passing out in their food? Heh.

That little girl walking up to the lady who was passed out was beyond sad. This show pushes the envelope so far. I always wonder if one of the people are going to die and at what point the camera person has an obligation to put the camera down and call an ambulance or stop them or… Something.

Well, this song used to remind me of the movie Mannequin, but now…uh…
