The 4 Most Ignorant People At The Washington State Gay Marriage Hearing
Yesterday, citizens of Washington State were allowed to express their opposition to gay marriage. One guy seriously brought up NAMBLA.
“I want to make a reference to a group called NAMBLA - North American Man Boy Love Association. They are supporting all the gay rights bills.”
“And the pettiness brought about by gay couples is staggering. Christian bed and breakfasts owners have been sued for not allowing unmarried couples to stay in separate rooms. They would have gladly rented them separate rooms, but that wasn’t good enough.”
“When we come to our senses 30 years from now and realized we have perpetrated a grotesque injustice not a single child born motherless or fatherless born in a same-sex marriage will get his mother or father back. Only prevention will protect children’s rights.”
“If you pass this bill you’re just as narrow minded, you are just as bigoted and you’re just as unloving to everything and everyone who wants to get married outside of one man and one woman, two men and two women.”
“The bill is mislabeled. It’s not about equal rights, it’s about the promotion of homosexuality.”
“The lifespan of a homosexual lifespan is 1/2 the lifespan of a non-homosexual”

Janyaa a year agoTo be honest, I can’t stand it when people frame legislative issues with religious arguments. We have a separation between church and state for a reason. I have the right to be agnostic in this country and feel that the laws should represent everybody, not just religious. However, if you really wanted to talk about the teachings of “God” then what happened to “We are all created in His image.” ALL= including gays Or, “Judge not lest ye be judged.” Meaning, it’s not for you to say what is right or wrong, you should let God decide. Here’s another one, “God works in mysterious ways.” Why is it so much easier for religious people to use this when there’s some kind of tragedy, but they can’t accept that they may not know God’s will when it comes to homosexuality? These people are a bunch of hypocrites and make me sick.

WhatTheHolyHeck a year agoOhhhh. Not letting the religious zealots restrict the rights of others is actually the real intolerance. If you don’t maintain your God-given right to impose your opinion on others by now allowing them equal rights, your rights are being oppressed! Thanks for the clarification, fuckface. Also, the irrational, panting idiot with CPOD should worry more about his own lifespan than that of monogamous lesbian couples. Being a fat fuck has been proven by science to be a health risk. Not so much with the lesbian.
